********** Spend Limit Increase

Few months ago a call center agent contact me offering a FREE ME deal from Telkom for R99.00 which I gladly accepted, furthermore, I made it very clear that I need my spend limit to be capped at R0.00 should I run out of data or any of the offering and a day or so, I got an SMS to confirm that my request for my spend limit to be capped at zero rands has been honored.

Sometime in October 2017, I ran out of data and I need to call Telkom to buy data as well as all minutes to make emergency calls, and the agreement was as follows : - 5 gigs on my One Data deal contract for R 299.00 - 50 X 2 which total an amount of R 68.00 Which means my bill for that month of next month was supposed to be as follows : - FreeMe = R 99.99 - One Data Deal = R 149.00 - Plus additional purchase of R R 299 + 68 I decided to check a balance and I was shocked to see an amount of R 965.42, I immediately called to get an explanation on how I got to that amount instead of the agreed amount which should total R 615. After few hours in total with difference consultants who couldn’t answer any of my questions, nor emails that I sent as to how they got to this preposterous amount, one of them said I was charged out of bundles, and my question was to her : - How isn’t possible cause I bought 5 gigs of data? - I also bought 100 minutes, of all Network calls, why are you charging me for something I bought and will be added to my bill? I then requested for the initial call recording that was than since everyone was hiding behind the so called default spend limit which I never agreed to, and I was told I need to get a court order for me to get that copy of my contract, worse no one could tell me which act or piece of legislation ties to that, nevertheless, I am in the process of getting one. Here are my request to Telkom : - I need to know who gave permission or authority for my spend limit to be increased? - I need to know when ( Date, Time ) that it was done, cause I am certain that I was not me - I need to know why I am being charged for sms that are supposedly free, as I have never sent more than 50 sms in a day ( and I have requested for my spend limit to be capped at zero )
