********** Cellphone Account under my Telkom Profile

On the 28th April 2016 when the Mall of Africa was officially opened. I went to Telkom mobile to get myself a Smart Broadband Contract @ R199/month (10GB anytime data & 5GB Night surfer). I was assisted by a guy called Mzwandile Chirwa from Head Office, however that sale was for Tebogo Msibi. I got all my documents as well as my welcome a SMS on the same day.
Apparently on the 30th April 2016 a Lady by the name of Veronica Ledwaba from Tembisa opened an iPhone 6s contract and it was linked to my Telkom Profile. She was register under my profile as if I was her employer.
On the 15th May 2016 I was debited with as amount of R1312.03. I thought to myself that was my initial fee for the Router since it was worth around the same amount. When I received my month electronic statement that is when I realised that I had 2 contracts on my statement hence such exorbitant amount on my statement. And then in June 15th an amount of R1475.00. These 2 months debits were almost for my years’ worth of my internet contract.
I called the Telkom Mobile call centre to log a query with regards to the over charges on my contract. I spoke to a Lady by the name of Nthabiseng Gwala on the 31st May 2016 she logged my First of many queries with regards to my refund. On the 31st May I got my reference ( ********** 0).
In June I then decided to manually deposit money into the TELKOM ABSA to pay for my internet account since I didn’t want to be debited further. I used a payment reference that was allocated to me on my statement. ********** ********** 95030.

The reason I kept paying for my service was that I didn’t want my Internet to be disrupted while trying to solve my case
I paid using the reference for July, August and September.
When I followed up on the status of my query I got through to Pisto Rakgakola he suggested that I make my Affidavit to indicate that an account was taken under my ID **********ly. I did my affidavit on 1 July 2016 and sent to 3 people Pisto ********** Nthabiseng ********** & Nomthandazo Mbewana ********** on the 3rd July 2016 together with my ID copy as well as my 2 invoices.

Nomthanda indicated to me that such case have a 3 months Service Level agreement to be completed.
On the 7th July I got a new reference ( ********** 1) my 1st reference was still pending.
From then on I used to follow up on a weekly base to gather information on my queries. And then on the 17th July I received the 3rd reference ( ********** 1) I still had the 2 initial references still pending. July went by and August went by.
On the 10th September 2016 to Telkom Mobile store @ Africa mall to go and address the issue with the Store Manager (LG). He once again told me that he is not going to issue with a new reference since I had 3 pending cases. He gave his word that he make all the necessary follow up to keep me up to date “none of which happened”. I then tried to personally call him. His phone was no longer answered.
Mid September my internet was disconnected due to outstanding fees on my 2 contract. Remember according to Telkom I had 2 contracts with them, since I was only paying for my R199 contract. The cellphone contract by Veronica had not been paid and she had used it up to an amount R7063.40,hence my service suspension.
On the 26th September 2016 I decided to go to Telkom Head Office (Techno park, Centurion) when I got there it was at entrance 61 Oak Avenue. A guy by the name of Marco told me that NO CUSTOMERS ARE ALLOWED BEYOND THE GATE. However he assured me that he will take all my details and forward it relevant persons that would resolve my case.
On the 10th October 2016 I went to Telkom mobile Africa mall and I met again Mzwandile Chirwa and he managed to follow up on my case and reconnect me to my internet in 2 days. But when I tried to follow up with him he had also blocked me from call him directly to get further answers on my queries.
I just need to indicate that from the 1st reference I had received from Telkom since the 31st May.

Reference : Date :

********** 0 31st May

********** 1 7th July

********** 1 17th July

********** 8 Mid September

********** 2 03 October

********** 9 04 October

********** 0 04 October

********** 0 04 October

********** 2 11 October

********** 0 25 October

I'd like to find when should I expect my refund. Since my query has dragged for a rather long time to get it closed.

Moenieb

I would like to get feedback on the status of my Refund.

My Reference: AI **********

I have received 4 calls from Cleo from your Telkom Social Media Team. She requested that I forward my Banking details for the refund to processed back to my account and she assured me that my refund would reflect in my account in 5-10 working days.

Today is the 10th day and nothing has happened as yet.

Now I am really feed up with this waiting game from Telkom cause it seems like I should beg you people to do what is expected of you.

When I try to call back the number that Cleo keeps calling me on, the number is always engaged and it drops my call automatically. ********** / 9988/9979

I dont even want to call the call centre since I've engaged them for over 4 months and I never received any positive solution from the call centre.

Now I feel that I'm back to the very initial step of the whole query.

THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE WITH TELKOM HAS BEEN A RATHER ****ED UP EXPERIENCE. HONESTLY IF COULD FIND A BETTER SERVICE PROVIDER I WOULD CHANGE IT WITHOUT TOO THOUGHT TO IT.....

Dear Social Media Team. Att Cleo

I have tried to get my case resolved from June up to this point and nothing has been forth coming.

I have came to a conclusion that from this December.

I will not make any future monthly payment for my Internet contract with Telkom, since I feel that if I keep making these payments then my 24 months contract will end. And I would have paid more money than we have agreed upon.

Since I’ve been told on several occasions that my refund has been prepared BUT nothing has happen reflecting in my bank account.

So now I’m requesting or advising or ordering or suggesting to Telkom to PLEASE credit my Telkom account with the amount of R4117.23 so that you can offset my monthly expenses with the monies owed to me, since I don’t want to incur any further financial losses.

PLEASE PLEASE I don’t need to be inconvenienced again by the loss of internet connection due outstanding fees as was your responce for blocking my internent service in September which also led me to lose 13GB of data.

Here are My personal details:

My Telkom contract: ***

My Telkom Billing account: ********** 85

My Telkom Financial account: ********** 14

Names: Phuthuma Layton

Surname: Hlongwa

Email: **********

Cell: ********** & **********

NOW I’LL NOT BE MAKING PAYMENTS, JUST OFFSET AGAINST WHAT YOU ALREADY OWE ME.

Regards
