**********...
I took out a contract with Telkom about 2 years back, the last debit order was supposed to run in August, to my suprise, they've deducted R45 for Sep and R45 for Oct. I called in and was told that I haven't canceled the contract.
A lady called me around Aug telling me about renewing my contract, I told her I was fine with Telkom since the coverage is bad, not once did she advise me about canceling the service once it has expired. So I called Telkom in October to cancel, but advised the consultant I would like to to keep the number since I had 8 gb left. She asked for an alternative number where s1 will call me to confirm the cancelation, but no one called me. The following day the Sim card was deactivated with 8gb. I called back in and the guy was a bit rude telling me that once the Sim card has been deactivated I won't be able to get back the 8gb and that I can make a debit order reversal for the R45 and R35. I did, but telkom deducted R85 on the first Of November and then R395, and I was told it was a reversal fee.
They don't explain this when you enter into an agreement with them. In a way they de*****ing customers.
