***** of Airtime

It was noted that on my monthly invoice for April that there was an inclusion for an amount of R110.00 deplicted as being for a donation. On the 9 May 2016, I contacted Telkom Mobile to further investigate what this transaction was about as I had not instructed nor made a request for the amount to be transferred onto any third party. It was then that I was advised by Caroline Nkuna, Customer Service Rep, that there had been three transfers to a number ***) to which I have no knowledge of on the 10 April 2016. In addition to this, the amount had increased from R110.00 to R150.00. This is extremely concerning as for the past 3 weeks, I was unable to use my line due to complications as a result of a SIM Swop. Therefore, it was impossible for me to instruct a transfer to this unknown number. Furthermore, I rep**** to her email in which I requested a full report of this and for an investigation to be made as this was clearly a case of *****. To which, I received a response saying that the corresponding mailbox was full. This is absolutely shocking that individuals have accessed my funds and transferred it to another number. I attemtped to contact the number in question to which it went to voicemail. The entire situation is ridiculous as there is no facility within Telkom Mobile to donate airtime. A really pathetic show onto Telkom for not detecting this abnormal occurrence and ensuring customer funds are secured properly.
