After falling for Telkom's promotion where you get a modem, sim cards, data etc for R430.00 per month, I went ahead and subscribed after asking the telemarketer if the amount will go over R430.00 per month and was informed no it will not. After a few months all of a sudden the amount was over R1000.00 outstanding. After ignoring it because of my believe that it will not go over R430.00 I was phoned by Telkom informing me that I am in arrears? I told them I will not pay outstanding because of my conversation with the telemarketer, they must please go and listen to the recordings as it was recorded. After a while I was handed over to debt collecters and also informed them that Telkom was at fault and they must sort it out with them. I then received feedback from them that Telkom instructed them to please close file cancellation was in process as per TS50803. Now to my surprise I was handed over again to debt collectors and all of a sudden the amount outstanding went down. Now they want to summons me and after sending everything to the new debt collectors I will be summoned. I am sorry this is not on. According to me the file was closed by Telkom why new debt collectors? And to phone them is a waste of time they just tell you to pay.
