I Placed an order on a phone at istore through a telkom contract and was told that they’d still have to do background checks on my credits due to records of a contract cancellation in the past. I was told that it would take up to 2 week’s and they would call me collect it, after those 2 week’s and a few days, there was still no delivery.

I made a call to Istore and was told that there were no record of me placing an order on a phone. So because of that, I decided to order a new phone online which was then delivered in 2 week’s promised.

The problem arised when my billing Wasn’t what was agreed on for the contract, it was actually double the amount, istore agreed to help and cancel the duplicate contract.

A month later however, I realized this wasn’t the case. The contract was not cancelled but rather migrated to a prepaid now billing me thousands of rands. My question is how is cancel mistakened for migrated? I am going to be billed for a phone I no longer want, a phone I’ve received no communication about whatsoever.

However, I strongly suspect ******** tendencies in all of this.
