Fragmented service to the detriment of a client
Being convinced to apply for a cellphone and router over the phone through mobile talk has been not such a good choice.Having received the products,I knew this not what I wanted, I went to Telkom, Tableview (Bayside mall) and signed a contract for a tablet(2 June).I was advised to return the other 2 devices, which I did via the courier service( middle June when they fetched it. Administration fees went of my bank account and some other fees which I was not sure what it was for. Then I realised that it monies where morethen the contract I currently had. I went into the branch trying to explain that I had returned the other 2 products but money was being taken from my account more then what is to be expected. (For the current contract I have). One sales person explained to me that it was the collectors taking the money and not Telkom. So ,after realising this,I began reversing the debit order and I would make a payment through Checkers for the current account. This taking by the collectors would happen at random...me reversing...and messing up my credit profile. I was told to phone that there is nothing the sale people can do and was given a phone number. Now explaining my dilemma over the phone to who knows is costly a thing and my conversation ends as my airtime is finish , still trying to explain. I am meant to give my waybill number and conversation cut short again as my airtime some. Back to the branch, trying to explain this happening again and this time the person tells me that someone at the branch could have logged a case and I that someone will call me. This did not happen. Collector take again,I reverse again. Go back to the branch to explain again, questioning whether someone is busy sorting my issue. According to sales person someone is handling it. Me not convinced because now my service is suspended, return to the branch, explaining again. I request to speak to the manager but the sales lady comes back from the office without the manager coming to hear me. All she has to do is write the manager an email and escalate it to her. After time ,I realise that my service is suspended. I go back to branch telling this and having to leave again without a solution. I did try to buy data to try and use my device but it did not work. This Monday,21/10, I decide to go to branch in Cape Town, thinking their might be offices and someone I can sit down with and talk. But it is also a point of sales. A helpful person here connects me with the Johannesburg office. I explain to a person re my case that was logged and according to him it does not indicate why the case was logged. But after listening to me ,it seems he understands and what I have to do is speak to sales and tell them to cancel the other devices that was returned and I go through to sales. I probably did not explain well enough because the lady says she is not able to do this and I have to deal with billing. Now I have had enough again and decide to go home because I am yet again gonna have to explain again to someone. On my way home I think about what I have to do now to try and have this sorted.Maybe I can talk to the person at mobile talk , the people that I had returned the devices to, explain and see if they can help.I speak to someone that says that tells me that it will be sorted in 48hours time. Me...not so convinced or hopefull..shall wait until Friday to see what happens. In all this time no one has ever followed up ;contacted me...I have not mattered.
