Follow up - Breach of FAIS ACT - OMBUD Complaint

<p>Last week, i lodged a complaint and up till today, we still havent had any feedback or contact from Telkom in this regard. </p> <p>We took out a WIFI contract with YOUR service provider Mobile Talk and from the get go, we have had issues. THe device never worked which they never bothered sorting out and as such, we requested cancellation which they never processed. We were billed for something that we never had. We stopped payment and as a result, we were listed for default on AN ACCOUNT THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CLOSED!!!!!!!!!!! We were then bul**** into making a small payment in order for them to close the account. THe only reason that we made payment was because this is preventing me from going for an operation - and as a result is causing not only a loss to me but also bodily harm all because your service provider never did what they were supposed to do. We were assured that if payment was made a letter would be provided to us the same day to ensure that we can proceed with getting my approval in order for me to proceed with the op. Today i called telkom and was told that the account was closed but that the letter could take up to 14 days!!!!! This mean that my operation needs to be cancelled as a direct result of YOUR Service Provider not doing what they were supposed to do! We have already seeked legal advice and with all the proof and calls and follow ups that we have, i can either take this to the Ombud or i can press charged against Telkom seeing as Mobile Talk is your service provider. </p> <p>I expect to be contacted and for this issue to be resolved today. If the letter that i require isnt emailed to me today, and i suffer a financial loss and bodily harm because of YOUR service providers incompetence, then i will be pressing charges. I have proof of payment at hand and am willing to email it through in order for me to obtain the letter. We are meeting you more than half way here and if we are not assisted accordingly, then we will do this the legal route. </p>
