Fixing one problem leads to another
Our Telkom line went dead on 11/01/2015. We reported it via sms (call centre not responding) on 12/01/2015.
We received the usual 2 day message for something to happen. On 14/01/2015, we reported the same problem to Telkom Office Woodlands. after a number of days, a technician came around to fix the problem, but stated that it was a problem with the underground cable, which was not his job.
on 20/01/2015 we enquired on the progress at Telkom Woodlands where we spoke to Shiraaz, Supervisor at the office. He phoned a technician who came around to work on the problem. He could not get access to the cable, because the home owner where the inspection port is was not at home.
The next day he came to fix the line, but claimed that there were still some statics on the line. He undertook to inform the relevant technicians.
Since then, 23/01/2015, we had \crossed"lines and interrupted internet connection. We again reported the fault on 30/01/2015 via sms and at the Telkom office in Woodlands. We did receive the usual 2 day to service message"
