FIBRE FOLLY - TELKOM 'S BREACH OF 24-MONTH SMART OFFICE 10 MBPS R699 PM CONTRACT SINCE OCTOBER 2016 !!!

28 August 2016 - Signed 24-month Smart Office Business Fibre 'Pemium Plus' Contract for 10 MBPS, 100 GB, uncapped Night Surfer @ R699 pm including VAT, Fibre modem, Installation and Email addresses.

07 October 2016 - Reconfirmed specifics of the contract telephonicaly with Ms SHLENGIWE ********** of the Business Sales Dept and enquire as to installation date. Original order could not be found, so Shlengiwe reinstated the order - Order Ref # ********** 72A .

14 October 2016 - Technician arrived to instal the modem - Reference B ********** 11 - which works fine - but only on 4 MBPS speed and NOT the 10 MBPS speed as per signed contract. TODAY - 07 JULY 2017 - WE ARE STILL RECEIVING ONLY 4 MBPS SPEED !!

Numerous emails and phonecalls have elicited no solution regarding the activation of the 10 MBPS Contract.. Given runaround EVERY TIME - sales, billing, tech dept and back again. Broken promises made that a Supervisor would call back but NOT ONE has ever called back.

*** 14 April 2017 - Dispute logged with SABINA at the Business Call Centre - Reference 247CRZ070417 - for non-activation of the 10 MBPS speed and a landline fault. Landline fault was sorted out but not the speed problem.

Billed for 10 MBPS from October to 31 March 2017 while only receiving 4 MBPS!

From 01 April 2017 billing was adjusted by Telkom to 4 MBPS - without informing me of the change (****il 01 June (see below) when I received a phonecall from Steven))

*** Telkom just decided on their own that they weren't going to honour the signed Contract - too much bother for them - so much easier to just bill for what they are dispensing i.e 4 MBPS and ignore the signed Contract!!

14 April 2017 - Dispute logged with SABINA at the Business Call Centre - Reference 247CRZ070417 - for non-activation of the 10 MBPS speed and a landline fault. Landline fault was sorted out but not the speed problem.

*** 28 May 2017 - Emailed THOZAMA VANDA ********** at Accounts Dept to thank him for passing billing credit for 14-26 April. Reminded him that billing also needs to pass credits for period October to 13 April 2017 during which time we have not received the 10 MBPS speed but have paid for that. Also for 4 MBPS line to to upgraded to 10 MBPL immediately. Never heard from him again...

*** 29 May 2017 @ 08h45 - Back and forth trying to sort out line speed . (1) NANGAMSO at Accounts abruptly told me to "go to Business Sales Dept". (2) CAMERON at Sales kindly rechecked the Fibre line and confirmed speed of only 4 MBPS. (3) NMANGALISO of the Support Team said he deals only with Internet problems but kindly also tested the Fibre line confirming the 4 MBPS speed and said Billing Dept should sort out the Accounts problems. (4) THAMSANQA at Billing Dept came across as surly - 'Log a dispute' even though I told him a dispute had already been logged before and am still waiting for a response. Then asked to speak to HOSIA LEKALA, his Billing Supervisor for help. Was told his Supervisor was unavailable. ' Would put me through to Business Sales'. Didn't happen - line went dead. Gave up for the day.

*** 01 June 2017 - NOFIPIWO at Accounts/Billing said she would check with her Supervisor and advise. Still waiting...

FABIAN at Sales kindly advised to save time to deal directly with Fibre technicians at ********** 268. That number remains constantly 'Line is busy' so unable to get through to speak to a Fibre technician. So that doesn't work either. Seems phone is permanently off the hook.

STEVEN, a technician - nice guy - (don't know if he is a Fibre tech or not) phoned me to advise that Order # 487497/44 was cancelled by Cape Town tech dept and that I have been downgraded from 10 MBPS to 4 MBPS. The order number provided by Steven is not the same order number provided by Hlengiwe Mjwara (i.e. Order # ********** 72A). So what's going on here???

20 June 2017 - Given runaround yet again. (1) 09h15 - MTHOKOZISI at Sales - 'Can upgrade to 10 MBPS'. (2) MATLHOGONOLO - 'Sales Dept to upgrade to 10 MBPS'. (3) KAMESHNE - 09h35 - said she would email the Order Processing Dept to increase the line speed to 10 MBPS. Never heard anything from Telkom since then - only correspondence is the latest Invoice for payment. Telkom is very prompt in sending out Invoices!! Also received an SMS reminding payment overdue!!

*** Please can HELLO-PETER urgently kindly assist by getting Telkom to honour the signed and valid 10 MBPS Smart Office R699 pm Business package - without Telkom continuing to stall, ignore and being given the runaround to avoid their legal obligations?

Many thanks for speedy assistance - this will be much appreciated!

----------

PS - HELLO-PETER - PLEASE DO NOT PUBLISH MY NAME OR PERSONAL DETAILS FOR GENERAL PUBLIC CONSUMPTION. ONLY THE ABOVE CONTENTS ARE PUBLISHABLE. MANY THANKS!
