Fed up with terrible Telkom service

On 28 December, my Telkom/ADSL line went dead. I immediately reported the fault but waited until after the new year until I escalated it.

Thereafter, every second day I either called the call centre or visited the Telkom shop in Cresta. Every person I spoke to me gave me a different story. The Telkom shop was most unhelpful, simply indicating that I should call the call centre - which I did again. And again and again.

On 9 January, I received a call from a man called Eric from Telkom. His number on my cell phone was ***. Eric assured me that a technician was on site and that I should receive a follow-up call by Monday or Tuesday this week, 11 and 12 January. I am still waiting. And the number Eric used to call me simply rings and rings.

Isn't Telkom about communication? Why can't they let me know what's going on, or better still, just repair my line? Please, please let me know what's going on. I am a pensioner and am desperate for my telephone/ADSL line to be working again. It's my lifeline. Come on, Telkom!
