Faulty landline

The Telkom landline,for which I pay timeously,has been in service partially for the last 2 weeks-it is now completely non-functional.I have logged the fault with Telkom on a number of occasions but to no avail.Telkom does not care or,like all other parastatal utilities,the service has become totally inefficient.I might add that this is an intermittent problem,occurring almost every weekend for the last two years.Reporting to their escalation centre has not brought any joy either.They get away with this shoddy service because they are the only fixed line operator.Since the advent of democracy there has been a rapid decline in srrvice-I should know as I have been dealing with them for more than 40 years.
