FAULT AFTER 7 MONTHS NOT REPAIRED

I am the principal of Garden Route Primary School in Kwanonqaba, Mossel Bay. The school's accounts at TELKOM are paid monthly by debit order.

I on June 15, 2015 for the umpteenth time reported a fault with the school's telephone line at customer service in the walk-in center in Langenberg Mall.

A reference number, 55CEZ250615, was sent to me via SMS.

On Tuesday, July 21, 2015 a technician arrived at the school. He touched nothing and promised to come to fix the problem the next day. He did not arrive or at least apologized why he did not fulfill his appointment.

To my surprise, however, TELKOM sms'ed on July 22, 2015 at 18:06 whereby I was informed that the fault with the line was rectified. It is unacceptable and ******** that a company deduct money monthly for services rendered while the service is as poor or non existent. In this technologically advanced age it is an embarrassment for a school if your supervisors can't reach you by phone or fax.

Isn't it time to privatize TELKOM completely and get rid of these employees who gives TELKOM such a bad name?
