Falsified information

In April 2018 we visited the Telkom Store in Sandton City and was assisted by Sabastian Mangwende, who messed up our contract application from the on set.

I subscribed for a FreeMe 1GB contract package and later the following month went back to go subscribe for another number which was already on Telkom Prepaid and I was told that it's best to keep the number on Pre-paid and Sabastian then provided another sim which had minutes to other networks and everything.

A number swap was done after I queried why is it not possible to move a number from Pre-paid to Contract.... We were assisted by another guy who advised that Sabastian did not do the contract right.

Now we are told that nothing can be done to package as FreeMe does not come with minutes anymore but we asked why wasn't we told about this before the number swap was done.

As we then said because we cannot get the package we initially signed up for, the contract can be cancelled.

Sabastian acted like he didn't remember anything about the contract that he had signed up, until they confirmed the date that the number swap was done and he advised that the packages were changed by then.... now we have to pay R3600 for the cancellation.

Talk about bad customer service... As soon as my contract ends, I'm also taking my business away from Telkom.
