False suspension of telkom service
On the 02/10/19 service to our landline, ***, was suspended. We went to the telkom offices in chatsworth KZN, was informed that rental on our wire-wire service was not paid. However, rental was paid on the 19/09/19 and as per the telkom assistant and our knowledge, our rental was paid on the said date and we have a credit of R 30 with telkom. The billing and technical departments was emailed by the assistant, Anisa, who informed us that telkom would get in touch with us within the hour and reconnect us, she gave us a reference no, ***. However, we did not receive any correspondence from telkom thereafter. So we contacted the call centre at 10210 on 3 occasions yesterday spoke to a lady who while helping us disconnected the call, then spoke to a guy named Vukani, who stated that he could not help us but escalated the matter via email as priority. Having still not got any response we called again and spoke to Calanthia, a lady, who informed us that they could not get into contact with the technical department to unblock the phone and reconnect the services. She and Vukani admitted confirmed that the account was in credit of R30. My father is the account holder Mr G. Gramani and he is unwell and constantly requires medical attention. In the event of a medical emergency we do not have a working landline. No one at telkom seems to know how to get to the relevant departments or give us a contact number for the department that is able to unlock our phone. This is unacceptable service from telkom and I am hoping that my review is seen by someone in authority and is dealt with accordingly and at the soonest.
