False promotional advertising

I am moving and I've requested Telkom to move my landline and adsl line on 31 March 2017. I was informed that I can go to any Telkom Branch to collect a free cordless telephone which is awesome. After visiting a few Telkom walk-in centres there is no stock and nobody can tell me which branch has stock. Telkom exepects me to drive from mall to mall to check which store has stock. This is unfair, inconsiderate and where is the customer service Telkom?

On Sunday, tried the N1 city mall and I was told to come in on Thursday to check if they have stock as that is when they receive new stock. I then asked if they cannot keep a phone or call me to let me know if stock has arrived and i was told NO!

Telkom, I pay for your services every month. Is this not the least you can provide a customer? Are there so many people moving and receiving free phones that everyone is out of stock? I think this is a typical case of false advertising.

Can you please check on your stock keeping system and tell me which store in the western cape has stock of this promotional phone so that I can collect it? I don't have the time nor the money to drive all over the Western Cape in search of this free phone as advertised.

Also, i tried calling your Tygervalley, N1 City, Parow Centre and Canal Walk branches and none of these contact numbers work. The recorded message tells me that the number is manned during working hours and then the call drops.

Can somebody please provide me with some sort of assistance?
