False promises, and no attempt to communicate

Towards the end of January, Telkom Mobile internet stopped working in the Fairview area. At first, I deemed the issue to be localised to the modem, or the devices it connected to. It later transpired that this is an area issue.

I contacted Telkom using 081 180, and opened a case with them. We went through the standard troubleshooting process, which resulted in the understanding that we did not know what the problem could be. At this stage, the case is forwarded to another department that cannot be contacted directly - no telephone numbers are provided by support, and they claim that this 'department' is a third-party entity, and that service has been outsourced to them. Several follow-ups later, over the course of a month, and after communicating the fact that this is, in fact, an area problem, I have had zero contact from Telkom, even after the multiple assurances that I would be contacted (even by two managers).

The service received from Telkom has been USELESS, to say the least. They disregard the fact that we pay for data in advance, and that we loose the money because this hasn't been resolved before the data expired.

I URGE Telkom to wake up and phone me!
