I called Telkom on the 23rd February to inquire about ADSL availability at Hennie Alberts in Brackenhust. I gave them the address of what was going to be my new premises, only if Telkom serviced that particular address. I spoke to a lady called Evelyn, she assured me that the area was covered and I should have no problems getting the 10mbit line. The line would be installed on about the 27th February and there would be no service interruption, (that's Telkom's policy). I called back on the 3rd of March because Telkom switched off my ADSL at my old premises at 11.30am, so, I presumed that the line would be installed soon after, I was told that a technician would be installing the line the next day between 3:00 and 4:00pm. I called again on the 4th and was told that there was a new date for installation, the 10th March. On the 10th of March I received a call from a technician telling me that there was no infrastructure and he would not be able to install the line, he had to send a request back to planning and Networks? Why was this not done earlier? Why give false information? I want what was promised originally. Telkom give me an alternative at the same cost until line installed.
