False adverti*****t - Blatant lies!

My 24 month contract ended in July 2021. I had an arranegment with Telkom that I would go over to prepaid using the same number and I would only pay a monthly fee of R70. On 05 November 2021 a Telkom consultant phoned me to offer me an upgrade since my contract expired. I told her that I dont want to commit to another 24 month contract since I am unemployed and that I wish to remain on a prepaid contract. She explained to me that they dont have the plan I am currently using but offered me a R99 deal on a month to month basis. Ensuring me that I could cancel at any time without being bound to a 24 month contract however, I was just informed that I was in fact sold a 24month contract that I am now bound to and cannot cancel as I was assured I would be able to. This is not the first time Telkom has taken me for a complete fool! I explicitly told your consultant that I am unemployed and cannot commit to a 24month contact ans she repeatedly assured me it would be a month to month prepaid fee that I would be able to stop at any time!
