False advertising - iPhone8 attracting customers then offering other products

I have for over 4 weeks now been struggling to get any answer out of Telkom.

My intention was to sign up with Telkom on an existing user account to get an iPhone8 + 256gb. This unit is advertised as available at Telkom. I have tried numerous ways and each way has left me with NO results. Each person cannot answer me even with something that seems reasonable. Apparently TELKOM are using Apple products to attract customers and then offer them some thing else like a Samsung phone.

Today I was told that apple products are not that easy to understand. This was a response again to swaying me away from ordering a Apple product ,that had attracted me to their site, so as to offer a cheaper Samsung product which was obviously in stock.

I have visited 5 Stores (Boksburg, Benoni, The Glen, Eastgate and Edenvale). I was told by TELKOM facebook sitethat this phone is only available if you fill out the forms online which we did. Sent all the info through and had the lady tell us that her system was slow she have to call back to confirm things but she has lodge the inquiry.

We never get the call back. We have sent a number of emails through to the offices of Telkom and I have communicated with both Telkom sa and Telkon Sales on facebook with no results.

No one is willing to help or go the extra mile, instead we have the seemingly uneducated look from sales staff who say the same thing over and over again as if this solves the problem . "I'm sorry sir but there's nothing we can do...Please come back next week and we'll check the warehouse for stock.

I'm convinced that TELKOM doesn't have the stock and clearly knowingly choose to release advertising claiming that they can sell and have the ability to provide this unit when they cant. This is false advertising and this need to be dealt with correctly and legally

When a premium product such as Apple is being used as a means to an end and that end is to entice these customers to purchase other products then both Apple.com (Apple inc) and the competitions board should be looking into the situation. This is an intentional move by Telkom to ride the apple wave to serve their own means .......

I wish I could get better results but I just cant
