False Advertising- Head Office says they can do that without any reprimand or consequence

<p>To whom it may concern.</p> <p><br />I am writing this email as I am a very disgruntled customer.</p> <p><br />I have had a Telekom cellular contract sick 19 February 2015.</p> <p><br />I decided to upgrade my contract and thus had went in to the City View store in Durban to apply for the 1gb contract for R199 where you get a Huawei P9 lite before contract ends</p> <p><br />My account number is ********** 61 .</p> <p><br />I was told by the salesman that I would have to wait for stock as they were currently out of stock.</p> <p><br />Towards the latter part of January I get informed that they do nothe have stock BUT I can get the phone if I pay for it on a higher contracthan.</p> <p><br />My issues are:-</p> <p><br />1) if I can get it immediately on a higher contract that means there is stock</p> <p><br />2) that why keep on advertising if there is no stock. Is that not false advertising as you have stock to only sell at a higher price.</p> <p><br />3) I was told by another salesman that perhaps the Rand Dollar had a role. BUT the rand has been strengthening in the last few months.</p> <p> </p> <p>After complaining on Hellopeter, Store manager or Telkom has not got back to me. I went to store today and asked if Store Manager Streegan was in. Told that he was out. THey contacted him telephonically .</p> <p>He said that Head Office knows and told them to not issue contracts.</p> <p>I will be contacting Wendy Knowler in a week if I do not get an official respose from Telkom</p> <p> </p> <p>Regards</p> <p> </p> <p>Disgruntled Customer</p>
