False Advertising and blatant misleading of the public

<p>I use 3G to communicate with some of my machinery round the Western Cape, due to dissatisfaction with Vodacom, I turned to Telkom. My first step was to verify that they had 3G coverage in the areas I required. Both the website and their call centre assured me that in Maitland, Goodwood and Houtbay they have complete 3G coverage.</p> <p>I then bought new sim cards, and data and sent my people to the various places replacing the Vodacom Sims with Telkom sims. Then the moment of truth,</p> <p>Houtbay ------ 0 coverage is in not a single bit of data was transfered (the machine in at the main buisness area of Houtbay.</p> <p>Maitland----- 20 to 25% signal strength with total data loss 9 to 11 hours per day</p> <p>Goodwood----- 30 to 50% data coverage with total data loss 4 to 5 hours per day.</p> <p>Kraaifontein---- 0 3G coverage only occasional HSPDA coverage</p> <p> </p> <p>So the truth is TELKOM MOBILE DOES NOT have 3G coverage in Houtbay and Kraaifontein, and only has occasional 3G coverage in central Maitland and central Goodwood.</p> <p>These are areas I am aware of wonder how many other areas they claim 3G coverage when infact the coverage is only occasional, and then very weak, or non exsistant.</p> <p> </p> <p>These people are blatantly lying to the public and supplying false and misleading information. I strongly advise that if your looking for 3G coverage you DO NOT approach them.</p> <p> </p>
