**** unnesessary callout fee

In November our ADSL router was struck by lightning. When we checked we found out the line was now dead. We opened a fault report with Telkom for the line and ADSL. After about a week I called Telkom and the consultant told me there was an ADSL problem in our area. He said the technicians were trying to locate the fault. He said there's a short somewhere on their cables. After about two weeks a technician came to our house and checked. He then changed the port where the phone cord go in as it wasn't working.
In January we receive our bill and we've been charged around R280 for unnecessary callout fee. My question is what is an unnecessary callout fee? Their consultant confirmed there was an error with ADSL in our area. The technician replaced the port (don't know what it's called) where the phone cord goes. If they say there was no fault, why did the consultant say there was one and why did the technician replace a part. Obviously if he didn't replace the part the phone wouldn't be working.
Can you please reverse this amount as this is a ripoff. First your consultant confirmed a fault on the line, then a technician replaced a faulty part. Check the call recordings to confirm.
