Failure to transfer domestic telephone line

At the end of December 2016 I moved to a new address in George and requested Telkom to transfer my telephone service and adsl line to the new address. I visited the Telkom branch in the Garden Route Mall and made the request in person to one of the sales agents employed there. By the 9th of January 2017 I have heard nothing from Telkom and it turned out that my service was still active at my old address. On enquiry on the 9th of January 2017 it turned out that the sales agent failed to actually place the order on their system. I then placed an order by telephone using their 10213 number. It is now the 21st of February 2017 and my services still have not been relocated to the new address. This in spite of endless phone calls and absolute frustration. Any excuse that one can dream of has been made as to why the service cannot be provided. This type of service to the consumer is shocking in the day and age we live in... And do not think that you can get hold of a senior person to assist you... No way... you have to deal with the faceless monstar called a call centre....

Hi Bronwyn
I just need this service to be sorted out as soon as possible. This matter has been escalated so many times to mangers etc I think it is now beyond human intervention.
It is clear that Telkom does not value its customers and do not worry about the inconvienience that is caused to the paying public that just want a service to be rendered.
