Failure to provide service

I am a Telkom mobile customer who purchased a Telkom Mobile promotional data bundle.

Due to Telkom's failure to provide network coverage on their pwn network in Vrede FreeState Telkom refuse to reimburse me the money I spent on the bundle purchase saying that I will pay for the service even though they cannot provide the service.

I have to roam on MTN mobile network and pay for Telkom's failure to provide service in my area.

When I purchased the promotional bundle I did not receive a warning that the service is not available here.

I wonder how many customers have to pay money for services that cannot be prpvided by Telkom. They refuse to refund money even though it is not the customer who failed to deliver service.

In my opinion Telkom has no regard for CPA (Consumer Protection Act) or TCF (Treating Customers Fairly).

I am extremely dissappointed that a company will take your money for a service they cannot deliver.

Telkom said that if I want a copy of the recorded conversation I have to get a Court Order.

The principle is simple.

Telkom excepted payment services knowing that they cannot provide the service.

I am not sure what it should be called when a service provider takes money from a customer for a service without any intention to deliver said service.

Why are customers penalized for Telkom's failure to provide service.
