Extremely insulting telkom service

On the 28th of May I noticed that our home landline was not working and had been disconnected. Immediately I dialed the 10210 number and was eventually told that there was an issue with the Telkom system and they're "very sorry". I was told that my issue would be escalated and my line would be reconnected in about 5 days. I called after 5 days and not only was my line not connected but the wifi itself had been cut too. I was told that this was part of a bigger issue. Over 9000 telkom customers have bee wrongfully disconnected, but the issue will be resolved in another 5 days. Days passed with no reconnection so I called again. This time I was told the wait would be 7-14 working days and yet again they cannot find my original fault on the system but they will escalate the issue. I've been told that managers will call me back when I ask to speak to them but no one does. As a university student I needed wifi during the exam period and had to spend over R600.00 on data. It has been over 15 working days, I have called telkom over 20 times, every time I call it's another 7-14 working days and no one can tell me why. My wifi is still not reconnected and we were just sent a bill stating that telkom owes us R2000 for all the months that we were billed when we had no wifi. This is so unacceptable it's disgusting. The reference number I was given can never be found on system by any call center agent who checks, and I tried reporting the fault online and that gives me an error as well.

Is it so much to ask that I recieve a service that I pay for?
