Extremely disgusting service

I received a call from Mondo in March 2017 – the sales consultant sold me a contract and promised that if I am unhappy with the rooter I have a 7 day cooling off period (they will collect the rooter no problem) and 21 days cancellation process.

I received the Huawei rooter in March 2017 and tried to use it and there was no signal at all, the signal light remained red permanently. I tried for a few days to use the rooter and still no signal. Within the 7 day cooling period I called Telkom and battled to get through on the 081 180 number.

I used an email that I found and emailed Telkom ( ********** I was told to fill out a cancellation form which I did and returned it to ********** on the 27 March 2017 as instructed on the email I received. Case ref number ********** 2 was received.

Since the 27 March I received no communication from Telkom on their part. On 3 May 2017 I have received a call from Terri (Technical Support) while at my work place. Terri called to check the rooter network in May. At this point I am not interested in the network. I wanted the rooter for HOME USE (home address 11 Roos Avenue, Napierville, Pietermaritzburg) and NOT for use at my workplace (Cascades). It is unbelievable that Telkom Technical support calls over a month later to check if the product can function.

Telkom deducted R149 off my bank account in March.

A further R315 was deducted in April.

An invoice for R166 was sent to me for further deductions in May.

I am completely disgusted with the service from Telkom.

I called Telkom today on number 180 and was told cancellations only communicate via email (spoke to Lindokuhle Nkangana).

He also told me Telkom tried to call me on the 18 May at 11.50 and they couldn’t get through. He said Khutso Dladla is dealing with the case and the contract is not cancelled because he couldn’t get hold of me. I cannot find any missed calls on my phone on the 18 May. I asked him if I could drop off the Huawei Rooter at a local Telkom he asked how did I receive it and didn’t advise further. He confirmed that the cooling off period does not mean anything rather to cancel a contract the consultant dealing with the cancellation should call me. Lindokuhle also confirmed that Telkom will continue to Bill me until Khutso calls me. He further confirmed that there is nothing I can do on my part to cancel the contract and stopped being Billed.

Can this get any worse - lies about contacting me and further indicating there is nothing i can do about Telkom billing me!!! So if Telkom never contacts me to resolve this cancellation they will continue to have their way with my account. It seems Ive been caught by a con-artist or should i say Telkom??
