Explain only 2Mbps on Telkom but more than 9.3Mbps on Afrihost on the same ADSL line.

I upgraded From "Do basic" to "Do Premium" a month ago. My sync speed went up as it should but doing a speed test reveals that I am still only doing 2Mbps down and 0.5Mbps up. Using an Afrihost account on the same line with the same router gives in excess of 9.3Mbps down and 1Mbps up. I have reported this to 10210 (21 calls and 3 fault references) , on facebook and Twitter, on the live chat on the website, and to ***. Now they want to send technicians to my house again? To do what?!. We have already established there is nothing wrong with the equipment or line! They will just close the fault on the system without finding a sollution, or escalating to another department, like they did the last 3 times. And in the meantime I have to pay for the service that Telkom is unable to supply or Telkom will suspend my line??!!!!

Can you please send me application forms for your COO position, I am afraid if I get te job the result will be something like a cheap horror movie. not many will survive.

Within a few hours of posting this on Hellopeter I received a phone call from a Telkom employee who solved it within minutes! A simple setting that needed to be changed. Why does only one person in the whole Telkom know about this setting?! And why did i, after a month of contacting Telkom on every single channel available, have had to resort to Hellopeter to get hold of him? 10210 tech support doesnt know of its existence. neither does ********** 130, or the online chat operators or anybody on the Telkomsa community or the technicians that get sent out to "check your line". I was asked very nicely by the gentleman who solved my problem to give Telkom a good report because the problem was solved. Sir, as much as I appreciate your help, I cannot pretend that all is well at Telkom because of one person who knows his work. All my dealings with Telkom just confirms over and over that the same systematic rot that is plaguing SAA, the post office, Eskom etc. is very much present and spreading fast. 5 stars to you, but Zero to Telkom. My offer to take over as COO stands.
