Every installation is a problem
I have 2 months ago requested a fibre line via a 3rd part party 2 months ago. whether you deal with telkom directly or a 3rd party they advertise 21 days installation and 5 day activation. it now has been 2 months. i had the exact same issue when installing my adsl line. they are completely incapable of sticking to their promised delivery times.
