Empty promises, faulty online systems

Telkom undertakes to resolve a fault within 5 (working) days, but fails to come close to fulfilling that undertaking even after 10 working days. The online system wrongly claims that there is no fault logged in my area, for my landline number, although I have a valid fault-reference-number. Telkom's online registration system doesn't work as it does not send the required OTP, even after 5 attempts over 15 minutes.

Telkom has taken 24 (calendar) days, from 2nd to 26 February 2018, to acknowledge that they have now received my hellopeter.com complaint and will look into the matter, under reference AI ********** . The 19th January 2018 call center report, reference 96CZ190118, took 3 (three) weeks to be attended to and the fault corrected. I am still waiting to see whether Telkom will credit me with the 3 (three) weeks rental they promised to refund. On a 'Reliability/Propmtness' scale of 1 to 10, my experience of Telkom rates less than zero.

Talk about avoiding commitment!! Telkom doen't even admit that their written undertakings regarding their fault correction service basically mean little or nothing! Then they make matters worse by not showing proof that a 'promised' refund has been or will be made and, worse still, do not provide a reference number for this aspect of my problem. Telkom seems to have no clue how to operate on an acceptable professional level!
