EMPTY PROMISES

Detailing with Telkom is probably the worst and most fustrating experience ever! I received a call last month advising that my hanset will be upgraded because the cables had been replaced. I agreed to the changed and was promised a new handset in 2 weeks. Then I was told by the call centre to collect my handset from any Telkom store, I spent an hour at the Fourways Crossing Telkom, only to be told that the handset was registered on a Durban number and not the Jhb number, and either way they couldn't help me because they didn't have stock of the phones. Back to the call centre, battling for days, explaining myself over and over again to new consultant because after spending 30 minutes at a time on each call, my call would drop. Finally got through to Sibonelo Maphalala who advised that she had resolved all the issues and logged the request for the new handset on the correct number and she will give me feedback on the progress. I have been calling her for days, left messages on her landline, called the call centre again and again, and still can not get a hold of her to provide an update. In the meantime, Telkom is expecting me to pay for services I am not receiving. Telkom's is becoming a nightare to deal with!!!!!!!! I want this matter resolved and credits passed on my account!!!!!!!!!!!
