Dragging cancelation to deduct extra instalments

starting at the beginning, I was signed up for a LTE contract of R999,00 a month. This LTE service was not even available in my area that I'm located in and this was after I asked the consultant to make sure about it's availability & coverage.

Nevertheless, I wanted to cancel the contract after 3 days of no internet due to the signal. I was then told it's not possible and that I had to pay the 24 months installments up front to cancel. So I'm dealing everyday with contracts in my work place and this was not how we do contracts. But lets leave it as it was.

So after 24 months of paying R999,00 a month for a service that I could get on my cell phone for les than R200, I was ready to cancel my contract. Then I was told to give 30 days notice, witch I did on the 25th October 2017 and because the email address was not clear it was sent off to all the cancelation addresses that was available. There was a response the same day mentioning that it will take 21 working days for cancelation.

After 20 working days I contact the mobile cancelation department and the consultant mentioned that I have to phone back when its 21 days but Telkom will contact me for cancelation. Until today, 40 day's later, still no call ...just me phoning them every day for the last 15 day's.

There were 4 calls that I made where the consultant tells me that the matter was escalated and it will take 1 working day for them to contact me and it will be canceled, well that information was given to me 7 times out of the 15 calls. 2 Consultants requested that I mail the same form to them so that they can escalate it and once again I was told I'll get a call the same day and that it will be canceled. It was also escalated to the customer service manager at the cancelation department but still no one contacted me.

I also went to the direct store in Cape Gate center to get this matter resolved, so there was a consultant that also escalated this to the cancelation department. This was done with me still in the store, so I was told that I will be contacted and its not the first time that this was told to me.

I'm at the point where I'll cancel all my services with Telkom and go back to Afrihost that gave me the best service and when I used their service and canceled it to come to Telkom they canceled it within 2 working days so I`m asking myself, why if my service with Telkom was so bad in the beginning did I bother to come back. PLEASE CAN A MANAGER EXPLAIN THAT TO ME!

I hope that this matter will be resolved before I decide to cancel my Fiber and landline service with Telkom.
