Downgrade Fees

I have been a telkom mobile client for 21 months, a loyal client. Today I wanted to downgrade my account because I never reach my data limit. I called the call center and was told they could not help me (what is the point of a call center then). So I was told to go to the Telkom mobile store. I was also told that to downgrade I would have to PAY additional FEES!! I asked her what it would cost to upgrade, the answer ZERO!

So clearly Telkom does not care about loyalty, why would I stay with Telkom?? The effort is the same to upgrade or downgrade, you just want to skew is over when we downgrade! Who cares about customer perception or loyalty! Looking at the Vodacom deals right now!!
