double charged and still charged for reversal fees!

How does a service give you an option to pay early and then again debit your account? this is my story! In December 2022 I opted for the option online to pay early, I even paid more than was expected so I was on credit. Telkom still debited my account and when I reversed it , There are now these charges on my statement that I am unaware of! My Question is, why does telkom give an option to pay early although still debits the account? basically double payment! no one seems to have an answer. Till now telkom has not debited the monthly amount because now I will not pay online knowing they may still debit my account! this is a mess! I checked to see when my account would be debited, it said 5th of the month, I woke up today the 6th and it is not debited. can I ask for those charges to be removed from my invoice, I paid my account early in December and paid more for that matter! this is disappointing! also fix the debit order because till date nothing has been debited!
