****** ******* Don’t Want to Cancel my Contract With Them

I have been trying to cancel my data contract with Telkom because I lost my job. I tried requesting that they call me back but they never do. All I get is an sms that Telkom tried to contact me and my phone was unreachable, which is a complete lie. I went to their store in Eastgate and I was put on the phone with a call centre agent who also advised me to cancel my contract because if I don’t the debt will keep rising. She then transferred me to the cancellations agent, Sbusiso. He made me stay on the line for more than 30 minutes and gave me some silly “reference” number claiming that he had cancelled the contract. But guess what? I have been billed again for data that I’m unable to use since my number was suspended.

Make it make sense! So the bill is rising but I can’t use the data and can’t cancel without their “help”.
