Don't take out a contract with Telkom as you won't be able to get out of it once the contract term is complete

Telkom doesn't even deserve this 1 star rating .They are one of the worst network providers in South Africa . There service and network is terrible ,they cannot come close to the 2 leading network providers in SA. I cancelled my mobile contract in December 2020 , they wanted 30 days notice which i gave them . In January my sim card was migrated to prepaid . Telkom however continues to debit my bank account and everytime my bank blocks the debit order , telkom adds a R202.70 debit order rejection fee to my account . This is ridiculous as my bank doesn't even charge that much .

Today i went to the store to query this and they told me that i have to pay all these rejection fees else they will take it up with the credit bureau . I basically have no say in this matter and just have to follow there rules and pay up. They are a bunch of ****** if you ask me . Telkom just lost me as a client who has never missed a single payment during my contract term . I will never ever take out any contract with Telkom going forward. I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE THINKING OF TAKING OUT A TELKOM CONTRACT TO THINK TWICE ELSE YOU WILL REGRET IT ONCE THE CONTRACT TERM IS COMPLETE.
