Does Telkom even know the meaning of customer service?

I decided to take out a 100GB wireless broadband contract for my business with Telkom. So I clicked the "Call me back" button on their website on Monday, filled in all my details and guess what? 3 days later, I'm still waiting for that phone call...

So I decided to visit the Telkom shop. Since I couldn't figure out from the website which documents are needed to open this contract, I went to the Telkom shop in Benoni Lakeside Mall on Wednesday to ask what I need to bring. The consultant was very helpful and told me to bring my business' CK documents, copies of ID's for all the members, and 1 month's bank statements. I repeated the list to make double sure and she confirmed this was correct.

Now the next day (this morning) I went back to the shop armed with all my documentation. I stood in the queue for 75 minutes. When I finally got to a consultant, I didn't get an apology for keeping me waiting, and she now insisted that she cannot help me because my bank statement was not stamped. The consultant yesterday did not mention that the bank statement should be stamped. The consultant today even asked me which bank I'm with, like the rules would be different for different banks?

The worst is that the consultants did not care at all, or admitted that they were in the wrong, by giving me an incomplete list or keeping me waiting. I actually have a business to run, and had to take out almost the entire morning to waste my time at a Telkom shop. Never ever am I going back there!

Reviewer Update

If I could downgrade this review's rating to -5, I would certainly do so. And I stand by my original question "Does Telkom even know the meaning of customer service?" I've just been contacted by a Telkom call centre agent. She starts our conversation with "I'm calling you regarding your query on social media. You want to open a 100GB package with us?" I responded with "Yes, that's what I was looking for earlier in the week", giving her another chance to acknowledge why I left a "query" on social media. She didn't understand, and said again, "So you want to open a 100GB package". I said, "No, what I want is an apology. She didn't even know what I was talking about...

Telkom, you just entirely lost me as a client. I've just sent a request for a quote with one of your competitors. Not in a million years, am I opening a contract with Telkom after this treatment.
