***** Processes!

I just had the dodgiest encounter with a Telkom consultant on the phone. I saw an advert for a 15GB for R199 p/m with Telkom and I was interested. I called 10213 where I had to hold for about 20 minutes before I could speak to someone. The consultant advised that I could apply over the phone with them, I opted for that instead of going to a store. During the application, she said I was pre-approved and she would have to send the details to back office for final decision. She then said my account will be debitted within 48hrs. I couldn't understand how my account could be debitted without being informed whether the application was approved or declined. She said that is how they do things, if they find money in the account then the application will be approved but they do not find money it will be declined. HOW? Isn't the right procedure to pre-aprove, give final feedback, inform the customer, only then will you start arranging payments. I find this "your process" very *****!!! Someone please explain this to me... Consultant name: Fikile Mkhwa****
