Do not attempt to open an account with Telkom!!!

Telkom is a very useless company. I received my account invoice and I do not understand the ridiculous additional charges on the invoice - Totally new to me!! I tried visiting their branch in an attempt to get an email address to lodge a complaint and I was told to visit their facebook page. I sent a text and I was not assisted. I then called their number and I was on hold for over an hour without any help. I have also tried using their self service and I got a call from their 012 number which had me on hold for 20 minutes -twice! What is the point of joining a service provider which you cannot reach in such cases? Guys do yourselves a favour. Stay away from Telkom. Rather you open an account with Vodacom. Their customer care channels are great and easily accessible.
