Dissatisfied Telkom customer
I have the Telkom uncapped internet service with a telephone line in Despatch area. I have had this and are paying my account ON time and in full, every month. Telkom is very aggressive about advertising their fast internet services on tv, but.... 10 days ago, my telkom telephone line as well as internet services went off. After reporting this and asking them to please make this priority as my husband is at home, after being retrenched almost 2 years ago and is aggressively applying for vacancies (daily), via the internet and need the landline to make and receive calls. They claimed to have marked it priority. The technician came out on the 4th working day and restored services after 3 hours. 10 days later on, Monday: 04.02.2019 our telephone and internet went off, after I received an sms at 10:00 saying that they are experiencing service difficulties in our area and technicians are working on it as we speak. Our telephones and internet was working fine till they switched off the services to do maintenence. At 14:10 on Monday the 4th, they sent me another sms, saying that services were restored. Only to find out, after they worked on their systems, we are now off line and our home telephone is not working. We called in again and asked to have this attended to urgently. The call centre agent was not very understanding or eager to assist, just said, I will mark it as priority, as our services do not seem to sink with theirs. We called daily and was told the same story. It is again 5 days today: 8.02.2019 and nobody attempted to call us or send us an update. During the last 20 days, our internet and landline has now been off for 8 days. This while my husband is at home, trying to apply for work and trying to send in the required documents. How can they advertise such great, fast and efficient services, if they can keep one paying customer in such dis-comfort for So long. I find their services absolutely Non-existing and pathetic, to say the least. I am sure, I am not the only customer feeling this way. They know they are the only service supplier who can supply the landlines to connect a wireless system to, so they must be thinking, its ok to do this to clients
