Dismal service by Telkom

It is now day 5 after my internet ( fibre) service by Telkom blacked out. This was after loadshedding on Thursday evening and a first time since loadshedding intensified. I was told when I called that their network in my suburb of Tableview/ Parklands was faulty. Later, it supposedly recovered but my service had not.The numbers of operators via Telkom’s 10210, I had to provide details of my ID, my address, my phone number, my email address and to explain the same problem to, is innumerable. In a day I would call at least two or three times but I still do not have internet service. The closest to a solution was through telephone consultation with a lady on Monday evening but the modem and internet connection was not reset and she had reported the technical difficulty to a technical department she said and left me a reference number to follow up: ref : ***7. This was second reference number The matter was to be easily solved the Tuesday. Yesterday, there were no technicians in sight even after promise by a follow up call by the local Telkom office. Today was the last straw. This point I have reached after especially being promised by at least four consultants that a technician would attend to the issue and of course no technicians have been in touch. Yesterday when the local Telkom office : *** called me proactively, promised a technician would come to my house yesterday and they said they understood urgency. I gave them the number of my helper at my home but she received no call. Yesterday and today, no technician has showed up and the local number when I call rings briefly and say the number does not exist. The question is, are technicians still working at Telkom ?. So in conclusion, I will never recommend Telkom to anyone. Thanks. Khungeka Njobe
