Disgusting Service by Rep : Mikhail Engelbrecht

<p>To whom it may concern</p> <p>I wish to express my utter disgust with the level service recently experienced by Mikhail Engelbrecht, a Telkom agent who’s flyer was given to us when we initially moved to Cascade Terraces at Tygerwaterfront a few months ago. We first contacted Mikhail early July. My partner requested 5gig per month and advised him to contact me directly to arrange all the relevant paperwork as I am South African and he’s Italian and obviously required more supporting documents. When Mikhail contacted me, he suggested that my partner told him that we would opt for 10gigs. I told him that it was 5 gigs as we only require wifi for minimal use. It seemed a bit odd as my partner and I spoke about the quantity before and we both just assumed that it was a typical salesman pitch trying to get us to “buy big” On the 13th July I completed the necessary paperwork and supporting documentation and faxed it to ********** He immediately confirmed receipt of the attachments and advised that I was missing 2 signatures. I refaxed accordingly. On the 19th July I still had no feedback from Mikhail. I advised him that my partner and I were leaving for Europe in 3 weeks and required the wifi quite during the next few days to finalize our visa etc from home. On the same day he advised that he too is still waiting. This communication was via Watsapp. I confirmed that we will rather make alternative arrangements to which he confirmed “ok” On the 22nd of July I received a call with a Courier service who confirmed that they were outside Tygerwaterfront with my delivery. I asked who the Company was and what the delivery was for. They confirmed that it was my router from Telkom. I immediately contacted Mikhail via watapp as he was not answering his cellphone. I told him that there was a Courier company outside my apartment, without prior notification and that I was work and I thought that we agreed to stop the “contract” with Telkom . He responded to advise that “they suppose to be there” and that he’s busy with a client and I should go to a store to cancel I asked him to contact me….. no response. I opted to chat with him further via watsapp as he was not answering his cellphone or contacting me back as I previously requested. I told him that I’ve had wifi via Telkom at our second apartment in Kenilwoth and am quite aware of the process. My previous dealing with Telkom was very amazing hence we opted to go with Telkom again. All my watsapp messages with Mikhail is saved and the final straw was when I told him that nobody had responded to me since I faxed my documentation to confirm the approval of my wifi, yet a courier company is now outside in search of me he answered, “ I quote” Please take it easy, it’s the Courier company’s place to deliver the routers. Mikhail didn’t understand what my concern was , nor did he try to contact me to discuss the matter. How is it possible that I am approved for wifi without prior notification, expected to accept a delivery, yet the only dealings I had with this agent was when we initially agreed with the 5 gig. I just agreed to accept the delivery and advised the Courier company to delivery to my work address at Century City. On Friday the 29th , my partner and requested that Mikhail come to our apartment to assist us with the setup as the router was delivered and we had no idea how to setup ourselves. This was previously done ( Kenilworth) by the Telkom Agent and we arranged a friend to be home when it was setup. Our previous router was delivered in Kenilworth setup by a Telkom Rep who contacted us prior to the delivery, on the day and came to the apartment to do the actual setup. As Mikhail agreed to meet my partner on Friday, we thought we would at least have the weekend to sort out some last minute details before our flight. Mikhail agreed to our meeting. When my partner contacted him via watsapp and telephone Friday afternoon, he didn’t respond. He has not since, responded to both of us via email, watsapp or telephone.</p>
