Disgusting Fibre Service
I app**** for the so called Free fibre 2 month trial and was told that one could revert back to one's previous service if not happy with fibre. The following issues were experienced once I chose not to continue. 1. If you opt to go back you are stuck with a 24 month fibre contract that has similar charges to what you previously had. 2. It is categorically stated that your copper line that remains in place is cancelled. It took several months of excessive billing to fight my way back to similar charges experienced with copper. 3. If you want out of fibre altogether there are heavy penalties for cancelling. 4. On 2 occasions I have submitted cancellation forms to ********** and both have been ignored. 5. If you do manage to get fibre cancelled you have permanently lost your landline phone number. 6. Expecting the fibre to be cancelled I signed up to a FLLA deal tha gives one a wifi connection for the phone with a new number. That was followed with an SMS message effectively saying don't call us as we will call you when the service will be set up. 7. You need a modem to use a new SIM card to connect and to date no feedback after 3 days as to what your new number might be or if the service ever going to be activated. This Fibre Line Look Alike costs R216-00 /month if overnight/weekender is included. 8. This FLLA service is charged from the day you sign on regardless of how long it takes to cancel unwanted services that do not work. Is there an ombudsman that can assist?
