Disgusted by telkom service

<p>Telkom is such a useless business. I ordered a landline weeks ago.. was told installation will be within 7 days. In seven days I got a call and an sms confirming installation date. The 12 December date came and the technician called to say he is coming in 10 minutes. Two hours later he still had not arrived and I decided to call him and find out where the hell he was because I was now stuck at home waiting for him. When I called he says he had a bit of a cable issue, he will arrive in 30 minutes. Needless to say he never showed up until Saturday morning, without any prior arrangement or warning. I was not home so the helper let him in. He still did not install. He told the helper that there is a cable missing and he does not know when they will come for installation.</p> <p> </p> <p>Basically this is disgusting service from Telkom. Trying to call them or email them is just as useless. As far as these people are concerned you should just sit and wait from them, they do things at their own pace, their own time.</p> <p>I have never had to deal with Telkom before but one would have hoped that after so many retrenchments and restructuring there they would have learnt a thing or two about customer service. I am appalled.</p>
