disgraceful lack of service and integrity

My wife, Marna Reinecke opened an LTE contract, account number ********** 96, number ********** 394, with Telkom through the (*****) online promotions.

The lady misinformed us about the details of the contract.

She told us it is 10G available and 5G night surf per month. I directly asked her and repeated the promotion details, in which she agreed that it was 10G data with 5G night surf.

We received the modem, and, to our surprise our data ran out after 8 days!!!!

I went in to the shop, AGAIN, with no success!

THEN I was on the phone for 55 minutes with Nico Mhlongo, ********** trying to solve this, with NO SUCCESS, AGAAAAAAIIIIINNNNN!!!!!!!!

I was told by Nico that my contract was not 10G, but a 5G data, with 5G night surf, and an additional 5G to be used at any Telkom wife hotspot!

THIS IS NOT WHAT I AGREED TO!

His absolute *********** team manager “was busy” on the line for more than 50 minutes while I waited on the line for him to solve this. And even after waiting so long he never spoke to me! He told Nico Mhlongo that this is the contract and we can do nothing about it. This was misinformation, and therefore a problem on the side of Telkom. This team manager was given my number, but never phoned me back.

Even when asked, I could not get the verbal telephonic contract agreement, in which we spoke clearly through the details. If I made a verbal agreement but are not allowed to have access to it, this is another breach of contract, and yet another inequality toward the client.

I made contact with Joyce Krige at Telkom, ********** and she promised to follow it up, with no success and no follow up from her side too.

Afterward I issued a complaint on hellopeter, since it was impossible to make use of any other medium to speak to the seemingly dissapearing Telkom, on 1 March 2017.

This was Telkom’s reply, on 6 March 2017:

“Good day,

Please note that your wife's contract comes with 10GB Anytime data + 5GB Night surfer, all in all in 15GB.

We have validated her usage and all charges are accurate. Our records indicate no unusual data depletion.

Kindly be advised that you other query has been sent to our ADSL Team, feedback will follow.

Regards,

Busi

Telkom Social Media Team”

Now please take a look at the attached invoice issued. On the first page it states clearly:

Recurring Monthly Fees 1 x SmartBroadband Wireless 5GB+ 5GB TM Data + Huawei B315

Subtotal (Recurring Monthly Fees) VAT included at 14%

I think 5 + 5= 10, and not 15?

So now I pay for a contract I did not agree to!

This is outright *******ion.

Come on Telkom!

We can not solve this telephonically, not in store, not via email, nor via hello peter.

This is bullying!

Telkom, please, oh please, just solve this issue once for all. can we just stop this contract?!
