Anyway by the end of the call my claim was approved. 30 days later and there is still silence while they are busy trying to procure my now discontinued 2016 device from accross South Africa. I think the claims handler is still in contact with the manufacturer in China asking if they could produce one more because it has been 55 days thus far.

Also interesting to find out that you cannot choose any phone of your choice.(within your claim amount) Telkom chooses three phones for you, out of which you must decide on one.

Once i get my phone I will be cancelling my insurance and i wont let them ***** any more money from me.

I will be moving to Hippo or any other reputable insurance company.
