Did I Offend You?
I have been with Telkom since 2016 and can honestly say I have not been so disappointed in a long time. In April of this year I had no service for about 3 weeks. After following up countless times and with no feedback whatsoever on the progress of fixing the problem I eventually had service and the problem was at the exchange. I had to follow up countless times again for a credit since I had no service for almost a month. My bill is never under R1000 and Telkom thought a credit in the rounds of R200 would be sufficient. I disputed it and with a long and hard battle received another credit in June 2018. I left it at that since I don't have the strength or time to fight for something rightfully mine. On 29 June 2018 I came home from work and wanted to make a phone call when I realised my line was once again dead. I also had no internet needless to say. I reported the fault from my cellphone since the ADSL was off as well. I followed up countless times again which is now the norm, and low and behold around 3 weeks later on 20 July 2018 a technician came out and put new lines in since my line was physically broken off from the pole. When again following up on a credit due for the period I had no service I received no response. After several attempts to follow up on my credit I received an email that due to usage on my line for the said period no credit will be passed???? I am very interested to find out exactly just how that can happen, as yet nobody can give me an answer. I asked for proof since I want to know how that can possibly be but nothing. Instead they sent me the same credit passed in June 2018 for the previous time I had no service in April and think that I can be cheated. I am utterly disappointed and feel ashamed. I was so proud to be a Telkom customer and thought the world of them. After this I am not so sure I had the correct impression? I even told a lady at work about a great ADSL package I signed up for and she went and did the same. I always pay my bill way before the due date and always make sure I pay the correct amount. And what do I get in return? This? It mos takes two?? You can't just give give give and get nothing in return??? All I ask is an acceptable service with feedback, and if I had no service pass a credit accordingly? But even that is too much to ask I see. Up until today I'm waiting for a credit for the period I had no service from 29 June 2018 until 20 July 2018?? Nothing. I just get no service. In any way. No feedback. I couldn't think why a loyal paying client should have to endure this. I must have done something that offended them. That's most probably why I got declined when I app**** for a cellphone contract! That's great Telkom, carry on, you're doing great!
