Deplorable Service!

Telkom come up with the most innovative, costive packages but their end-user service is pathetic! Telkom needs to focus on their end-user support.

I have uncapped ADSL at home with 2GIG on mobile data using the D-Link ****le on number ********** 459. On 1st May without even connecting to the internet or send any email it comes with the message "YOU HAVE REACHED 100% OF YOUR MOBILE DATA ALLOCATION". I called 10210 and the Agent who answered the phone confirmed that I have 2GIG that is still available to me. The case will be raised to T2 to contact me. T2 still did not contact me to resolve the issue. I called again went through the whole episode of explaining the Call Centre Agent that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the ****le but he insisted to reconfigure with the correct setttings. I advised the Agent that I am technical and I am certain that there is nothing with the ****le that something has to be done on their end to enable the data. He asked that I take it in to the Telkom store. Going to the Telkom store brought 2 annoying experiences. When I went online to view the times it says Chatsworth Telkom Store is open until 6pm when I got to the store it was closed and on the door its was the store closes at 5pm! I drove all the way - wasted time and petrol!

I go to Gateway Telkom store and it was identified that there is nothing wrong with the ****le and the Representative told me that they need to raise a case with IPAK team to resolve this issue. When I call the store this evening I get diverted to the Telkom Call Centre yet again the Agent is unable to help me and says no case is in the system. I was advised to call Sales. When I called Sales I explained the entire story all over again and I told the Agent I want to escalate this and need to speak to a manager I was told to wait. I waited for 5 minutes before the same Agent comes back to say that the manager is busy. I gave the Agent my cell number and asked her to get the manager to call me. I was not contacted by the manager.

TELKOM SERVICE MOST CERTAINLY IS DEPLORABLE!!! I WILL BE CALLING TOMORROW TO CANCEL MY ADSL LINE CONTRACT WITH TELKOM

Hi Jawaad
I sent this to Garreth on 26th . Can’t Telkom be more efficient in handling their queries, calls and escalations.
It is unbelievable how a large company like Telkom cannot get their services in order.
