Debit orders for services not rendered

I had a contract with Telkom Mobile for two years. My contract ended August 2017. Before the end of the contract I was contacted by a consultant to renew the contract and that I would be supp**** a Samsung tablet. However in September I received a Huawei tablet. I tried to resolve this issue with Telkom since September but was sent from pillar to post. In the meantime Telkom was taking off alrge amounts of money on debit order from my banking account for a tablet I was not using and a sim card I did not activate. Finally, in the first week of October Telkom Mobile sent a courier to fetch the unopened and unused tablet. However, the debit orders never stopped. Two days ago a debit order through Telkom for R 1500-00 went off my account. Today a debit order for R688-00 went off my account (2 days later). I want to warn the public out there that please watch out for all the incorrect information you receive from Telkom call centre agents. Also, refrain from paying through debit orders to Telkom as you will not be able to reverse the transactions and nor can your bank do so. So Telkom will bill you every second day for huge amounts for services not rendered. With inefficient staff working at Telkom you will definitely lose lots of money like I'm experiencing now. I am even paying huge bank service fees for trying to stop the debit orders. I had already requested Telkom staff to stop billing my account during September but nothing has been done about it. All they are doing is just charging my bank account.

Dear Noleen Reference: AI ********** My query has still not been resolved by Telkom Mobile after almost a year. Instead my problem has been sent to debt collectors who have given me a final demand on 2 July 2018 to pay R 3 548-99. If I fail to pay this amount within 7 days from 2 July 2018 I have been threatened that further action will be taken against me. I have in the meantime contacted Consumer Council who have referred me to the National Consumer Council. I am awaiting the outcome of the investigation from the National Consumer Council. Tell me when will Telkom Mobile decide to resolve this issue? Regards Complainer21
