Debit order problems and wrong amounts

Please explain to me how I paid my account in November including any arrears that were there, and SPECIFICALLY asked about which amount would be debited end of November, and was told it would be the normal debit amount again. And then no debit went off on my account but now I get an invoice for double the amount.

This is not fair
